      Naturgy to invest 43 million euros in the construction of the Pastoriza-Rodeiro wind farm in the province of Lugo

      Naturgy has commenced construction work on the Pastoriza-Rodeiro wind farm, which will be located in the town of A Pastoriza in Lugo province. The project will have a total of 14 wind turbines with a total power of 48.5 MW, which will mean an investment of around 43 million euros.

      Naturgy to invest 45 million euros to build Barásoain and Tirapu wind farms in Navarre

      Naturgy has begun construction work on two wind farms located around five municipalities of Navarre: Añorbe, Artajona, Barásoain, Olóriz and Tirapu. These projects will have a total of 15 wind turbines that will have a combined total power of 49.5 MW and a total production of 155,000 MWh/year, requiring a total investment of close on 45 million euros.

      Naturgy, through its international electricity generation subsidiary GPG, and also Kuwait Investment Authority (through Wren House Infrastructure Management, its platform for direct investments in infrastructure) has inaugurated the Crookwell II wind farm 90 km from the Australian capital Canberra within the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) in New South Wales.

      The Merengue wind farm receives its first wind turbines

      This morning, the components of the first wind turbines for the Merengue Wind Farm started to arrive at the site where the wind farm will be constructed. It will be made up of Siemens Gamesa G126 model wind turbines. These have a 2.625 MW unit capacity, with a hub height of 84 metres and a rotor diameter of 126 metres.

      Naturgy starts work on building two new photovoltaic plants in the Ciudad Real province

      Naturgy has started construction work on Picón I and Picón II, two new photovoltaic solar energy plants in the Ciudad Real province, more specifically in Porzuna, out of the three planned in the company’s project for this town. These facilities both have a peak capacity of 50 MWp and consist of 151,452 modules.

      Gas Natural Fenosa Renovables has begun construction of El Tesorillo Wind Farm, which will be located in the district of San Martín del Tesorillo in the municipality of Jimena de la Frontera. The project will have a total of 12 wind turbines with a total installed power of 26 MW and an investment of 25 million euros.

      Gas Natural Fenosa Renovables begins building the largest solar photovoltaic plant in Toledo

      The Carpio de Tajo photovoltaic plant, in the small town of El Carpio de Tajo, will have 158,400 modules and 50 megawatts (MW) of power. It will produce about 90 GWh a year, which is equivalent to the annual consumption of 36,000 homes.

      Gas Natural Fenosa Renovables brings its first wind farm into operation in the Canary Islands

      Gas Natural Fenosa Renovables has brought into operation the Haría wind farm, in which it has invested 4.3 million euros. Located in the municipality of Agüimes, it is the first facility of this kind that the company is bringing into operation in the Canary Islands.

      Castile-La Mancha is the region of Spain with the most solar power projects by Gas Natural Fenosa Renovables

      In Castile-La Mancha, Gas Natural Fenosa Renovables has formalised the nomination of seven photovoltaic power plants for a total installed power of 271.7 MW, this region being where the most projects and power have been registered. These projects are located in the provinces of Ciudad Real, Guadalajara and Toledo, and are called Canredondo, Carpio de Tajo, La Nava, Picón I, Picón II, Picón III and Zorita. Their construction would require a combined investment of some 176 million euros.
