      Unión Fenosa Distribución, the electricity distribution subsidiary of GAS NATURAL FENOSA, will invest a total of 7.54 million euros on selective tree felling and pruning and clearing operations in 2018 to guarantee optimal operation of electricity supply services. By province, Unión Fenosa Distribución will allocate 2.7 million to A Coruña, 1.7 million to Lugo, 1.6 million to Ourense and 1.4 million to the province of Pontevedra.

      Unión Fenosa Distribución to invest 1.5 million euros in the burying of the Monteporreiro High Voltage line (Pontevedra)

      Unión Fenosa Distribución, the electricity distribution subsidiary of GAS NATURAL FENOSA will invest 1.5 million euros in the project to bury the double circuit 66 kV Tibo Mourente power line (LAT), which connects the Mourente substation to the river Lérez. The works, which started at the end of March, consist in the construction of an approximately 2,000 metre-long underground canalisation, 634 of which were built by the Regional Government of Pontevedra within the framework of a partnership agreement between the Regional Government of Pontevedra, the Regional Council of Economic Affairs, Employment and Industry Unión Fenosa Distribución.

      The President of Costa Rica, Luis Guillermo Solís, and the CEO of GAS NATURAL FENOSA, Salvador Gabarró, inaugurated the Torito Hydroelectric Power Plant, which has an installed capacity of 50 megawatts (MW) and will be operated by the Spanish multinational energy company for a period of 20 years through its subsidiary Global Power Generation (GPG).

      Gas Natural Fenosa has agreed to the purchase of 100% of the renewable energy company Gecalsa for 260 million euros

      Today, GAS NATURAL FENOSA reached an agreement to purchase 100% of the renewable energy firm Gecalsa, valued at 260 million euros. Gecalsa operates 10 wind farms and a photovoltaic plant in Spain which have a collective net installed capacity of 201.3 MW (237.5 gross MW). The purchase is subject to the acquisition of the necessary authorisations and is expected to be finalised in the fourth quarter of 2015.

      Today, President of the Galician Government Alberto Núñez Feijóo and GAS NATURAL FENOSA Chairman Salvador Gabarró opened the Cordal de Montouto wind farm, which was built by the energy company in the towns of Aranga (A Coruña) and Guitiriz (Lugo).
