      Gas Natural Fenosa Renovables has formalised the nomination of nine photovoltaic power plants, with a total installed power of over 340 MW (compared to the 250 MW awarded) and located in four provinces of two autonomous regions: Castile-La Mancha and Extremadura.

      The La Nava plant, located in the municipal areas of Almodóvar del Campo and Puertollano, comprises 155,520 photovoltaic modules and a power of 49 megawatts (MW), and will produce around 100 GWh each year, equating to the yearly consumption of 40,000 households, which exceeds the yearly consumption of the population of these two towns.

      Gas Natural Fenosa Renovables begins work to build its first wind farm in Fuerteventura

      Gas Natural Fenosa Renovables has begun construction on the Fuerteventura Renovables II wind farm. The farm, which is located in the town of La Oliva, will have two wind turbines and 4.7 megawatts (MW) of power. It will produce around 14 GWh each year—enough to power around 4,000 homes. This infrastructure will contribute to reducing the emissions of pollutant gases on Fuerteventura by 280,000 tonnes.

      Gas Natural Fenosa has agreed to the purchase of 100% of the renewable energy company Gecalsa for 260 million euros

      Today, GAS NATURAL FENOSA reached an agreement to purchase 100% of the renewable energy firm Gecalsa, valued at 260 million euros. Gecalsa operates 10 wind farms and a photovoltaic plant in Spain which have a collective net installed capacity of 201.3 MW (237.5 gross MW). The purchase is subject to the acquisition of the necessary authorisations and is expected to be finalised in the fourth quarter of 2015.

      The president of the Galician Government and Gas Natural Fenosa open the Cordal de Montouto Wind Farm

      Today, President of the Galician Government Alberto Núñez Feijóo and GAS NATURAL FENOSA Chairman Salvador Gabarró opened the Cordal de Montouto wind farm, which was built by the energy company in the towns of Aranga (A Coruña) and Guitiriz (Lugo).
