Natural capital and biodiversity

We have conducted detailed environmental and social studies on the new renewable projects we are working on, choosing the alternative that affects ecosystems and people the least, and including the necessary preventive and corrective measures to guarantee their sustainability.

In the last year, we have conducted more than 200 environmental studies at our facilities for monitoring the environmental and ecological conditions of the surroundings, confirming that the impact is maintained within admissible limits.

Work has been carried out on a total area of 1,000 hectares as part of the environmental restoration of Meirama Lake, planting almost half a million trees and creating a space of enormous natural value that can also provide quality drinking water to more than 400,000 people.
