How does it work?
Thermal power plants convert the base fuel into an energy source by generating heat.
This heat is what is ultimately responsible for driving a turbine that produces the electricity. -
Our figures
We had, at the end of 2019, an installed capacity of 1.9 GW worldwide.
During the first half of 2020, we stopped operating our plants in Spain and currently we only operate one 0.2 GW fuel-gas plant in the Dominican Republic.
-
Our commitment.
Given our commitment to the energy transition and the environment, during the first half of 2020 we stopped operating our plants in Spain.
