Naturgy and the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority agree to extend their contract for the long-term supply of LNG to Puerto Rico

On 22 October, Naturgy and the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) agreed to extend the contract for the long-term supply of LNG to Puerto Rico. The contract will now be in force until 2032. It covers an annual volume of 2 bcm and could reach 3 bcm depending on the country's needs, and the price will be completely indexed to the Henry Hub (the principal US gas index). This gas will guarantee the supply of power generation plants in Puerto Rico. The contract to supply LNG to PREPA was set to expire in October 2020. It had an annual volume of 1.5 bcm and the price indexation was linked to oil (50%) and the Henry Hub (50%). -

The Mobility Projects Director of Naturgy, Alfonso del Río and the Vallibria refuelling station manager, Adolfo Pérez Díaz, signed an agreement this morning to build the first public dual liquefied natural gas and compressed natural gas (LNG/CNG) station in Galicia. -

Global Power Generation (Naturgy Group) starts commercial operation of two new photovoltaic plants in Brazil

GPG, the international generation subsidiary of Naturgy, has started the commercial operation of the two Guimarânia I & II solar energy plants after seven months of construction and almost a month sooner than the contractual schedule. These new parks will consolidate GPG’s renewables presence in Brazil with more than 150 MW of solar generation after the success of the Sobral and Sertao plants in the state of Piaui in the previous year.

GAS NATURAL FENOSA and Baleària officially launch today Spain’s first natural gas engine for passenger boats, in the Port of Barcelona. Both companies have fostered the development and installation of the auxiliary engine and a 30 m3 tank of liquefied natural gas (LNG) (which can operate for one week) on the ferry Abel Matutes owned by Baleària, which operates a daily Barcelona-Palma de Mallorca route. -

GAS NATURAL FENOSA closed the sale of its 20% share in the Quintero LNG Plant, Chile, to Enagás Chile, after having received the necessary authorisations. The company Aprovisionadora Global de Energía, S.A. (AGESA), a company split from Metrogas, S.A. (in which GAS NATURAL FENOSA maintains a controlling share of 60.2% through its subsidiaries CGE Gas Natural S.A. And Gas Natural Chile S.A.), closed the deal for 200 million dollars. -

The company Aprovisionadora Global de Energía, S.A. (AGESA), a company split from Metrogas, S.A. (in which GAS NATURAL FENOSA maintains a controlling stake of 60.2%), signed an agreement yesterday with Enagás Chile S.p.A. for the sale of the 20% it owns in GNL Quintero S.A. for the amount of 200 million dollars (177 million euros).
