Process safety

Our management of Industrial Safety has a cross-cutting purpose aimed at raising awareness on safety from a different perspective. We also have networks of experts in each specific business for such issues as standards, PCI, accident rates, etc.

The missions of Industrial Safety

Fire protection

The Fire Protection Model involves:

A general Management and Technical operating framework.

Definition of a risk analysis and classification model and the protection systems to be used for each type of industrial facility.

Approval or certification for the entire group of engineering firms, installers and maintenance companies, as well as the equipment and elements, to maintain the data in a single application.

Guaranteed improvement with feedback from the maintenance and incidents/accidents.

Other standards of industrial safety

We have minimum standards that must be met by all industrial businesses within our group in terms of Industrial Safety.

 Safety reviews during launch.

Basic information on technical processes (technical documentation).

Safety risk analysis on technical processes.

 Investigation of accidents and incidents.

 Mechanical Integrity (maintenance).

Change management: people, equipment, processes, etc.

Quality assurance (materials, equipment and installations).

 Emergency response.

Global facility risk overview

Global Risks Map

This is a tool that enables every business unit to have an up-to-date overview of the main risk levels at their most important facilities.

This means standardised criteria can be used to place the spotlight on the highest risks and therefore prioritise actions based on the results.

Compliance with regulations

Industrial Process Audits

These are conducted by auditors with expertise in industrial processes, who are brought in from outside the businesses. This enables us to achieve the following goals:

Identification and classification of risks to the people, the environment and assets.

Verification of compliance with regulations defined by the group.

Creation of an appropriate Action Plan.

 Monitoring of corrective actions.

Experiences of other companies

Accident rate watchdog

This tool analyses the accidents occurring at other companies with similar operations in order to obtain useful conclusions. This information is used to examine the problem at our own facility and, where appropriate, to implement the necessary improvements in a preventive manner.
