It has an installed capacity of 109 MW and 26 wind turbines, which will produce\u00a0<strong>390 GWh<\/strong>\u00a0of clean energy per year,\u00a0<strong>equivalent to the consumption of 71,000 households<\/strong>.<\/p><p>The new facility is located approximately 150 km from Melbourne, near the already built Berrybank 1 wind farm. Therefore, both projects will share part of the connection infrastructure, such as the overhead transmission line that is already in operation.<\/p><p>This project was awarded with a Power Purchase Agreement by the government of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) in September 2020.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-9033\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-9033\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon elementor-accordion-icon-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-chevron-down\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-opened\"><i class=\"fas fa-chevron-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-accordion-title\" tabindex=\"0\">Crookwell II Wind Farm<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-9033\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-9033\"><p>Opened in November 2018, this project is located in New South Wales, 90 km from Canberra, the capital of Australia.<br \/><br \/>The 91 MW Crookwell 2 wind farm supports the commitment made by the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) to supply 100% of its electricity from renewable resources after the government of the ACT awarded GPG feed-in tariff rights for the area.<br \/><br \/>The project has 28 wind turbines and produces over 300,000 megawatt-hours in a standard year, with zero carbon emissions. This is equivalent to the electricity consumption of 41,600 homes in Canberra.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-9034\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-9034\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon elementor-accordion-icon-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-chevron-down\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-opened\"><i class=\"fas fa-chevron-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-accordion-title\" tabindex=\"0\">ACT Battery<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-9034\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-9034\"><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">We have successfully connected our first battery storage facility in the world to the grid, a historical milestone. This project will reinforce supply quality in the city of Canberra and will accelerate the country\u2019s energy transition by introducing more renewable energy to the grid.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Based on a 10 MW system of Lithium-Ion batteries and a storage capacity of 20 MWh, ACT Battery will be able to accumulate electricity from renewable sources and output it to the grid whenever it is needed to supply 3,000 households for two hours at times of lower electricity production.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-9035\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"5\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-9035\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon elementor-accordion-icon-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-chevron-down\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-opened\"><i class=\"fas fa-chevron-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-accordion-title\" tabindex=\"0\">Crookwell III Wind Farm<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-9035\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"5\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-9035\"><p>This <strong>57.6 MW<\/strong> farm has 16 wind turbines in the Southern Tablelands of<strong> New South Wales<\/strong>. The site is located approximately 17 km to the south-east of Crookwell, within the Australian Local Government Area of Upper Lachlan.<\/p><p>The project is considered the second phase of the <strong>Crookwell II<\/strong> wind farm, which is also owned and operated by GPG Australia, and the energy generated is <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">will be<\/span> connected to the network via the <strong>Crookwell II<\/strong> wind farm\u2019s terminal station.<\/p><p>The project covers an area of approximately 1,100 hectares, which is mainly used for agricultural activities (grazing) that will not be affected when the wind farm comes into operation.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-9036\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"6\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-9036\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon elementor-accordion-icon-right\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-chevron-down\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-opened\"><i class=\"fas fa-chevron-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-accordion-title\" tabindex=\"0\">Ryan Corner Wind Farm<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-9036\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"6\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-9036\"><p>This farm was awarded to Snowy Hydro and GPG in September 2020. The 218 MW wind farm is located in the state of Victoria approximately 300 km from Melbourne.<\/p><p>It is estimated that the park will require total investment of 359 million Australian dollars (equivalent to approximately 219 million euros).<\/p><p>The contract awarded is a 15-year PPA (power purchase agreement) for 75% of the energy generated.
