Naturgy successfully completes a €1 billion bond buyback and strengthens its long-term financial profile

  • This operation is part of the company’s strategy to optimise its debt structure and reduce refinancing risk in the coming years, in line with its commitment to prudent and sustainable balance sheet management.
  • The buyback complements last week’s €1 billion bond issue, which was structured in two tranches, a 6-year €500 million tranche and a 10-year €500 million tranche.

Naturgy has successfully completed a bond and hybrid instrument buyback for a total of €1 billion, focusing on securities maturing in 2026 and 2027. This operation is part of the company’s strategy to optimise its debt structure and reduce refinancing risk in the coming years.

The buyback complements last week’s €1 billion bond issue. This issue was structured in two tranches, a 6-year €500 million tranche and a 10-year €500 million tranche. The issue was significantly oversubscribed, reflecting strong market demand and interest from international investors, cementing confidence in Naturgy’s financial strength and strategy.

Thanks to this dual operation, the company has been able to lengthen its debt maturities and strengthen its financial flexibility, in line with its commitment to prudent and sustainable balance sheet management.
