Naturgy celebrates more than a decade recognised as one of the best companies to work for in Spain

  • • The energy company renews its Top Employer certification, which it has held since 2014, for rolling out its commitment to integrate best practices in people management.
    • Naturgy improves its score compared to the previous year thanks to its good performance in areas such as professional development and sustainability in people management.

Naturgy has been recognised for yet another year as one of the best companies to work for in Spain, as is the case since 2014. Awarded by the Top Employers Institute, this certification places the company as one of the most outstanding companies for its talent strategy and initiatives in people management.

Top Employer Institute certification has been obtained after an exhaustive audit process of more than 300 practices and policies of the company’s People area. Naturgy’s score in this audit process has increased by 1.4% compared to the previous year, with 94% overall, confirming an upward trend in recent years. These results once again place the company in the leading group compared to its peers for its strategy and career development models. An improvement that is the result of good performance in the Development, Commitment and Values-Sustainability categories.

Managing Director of People and Resources at Naturgy, Enrique Tapia, said that “for yet another year, Top Employer recognises the commitment of all those who form part of the Naturgy team, certifying that our professional experience is transformative and valuing the good performance of our diversity and inclusion programmes, the generation of increasingly digital and technological working and learning environments, as well as promotion of the development and wellbeing of our people”.

The Top Employer Institute programme certifies leading organisations in People practices based on the participation and results obtained in its ‘HR Best Practices Survey’, which encompasses six HR domains, consisting of 20 topics including areas such as People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Wellbeing, and Diversity and Inclusion, among others.

Interest in people

Naturgy maintains a firm commitment to people and their development, promoting their leading role from the company’s strategy, purpose and value proposition.

In addition to the Top Employer distinction, Naturgy has become the first Ibex 35 company to obtain the Great Place to Work certification awarded by international consultancy firm Great Place to Work®.

These recognitions add to other certifications received, such as the Top Wellbeing Company 2024 seal, awarded to the TOP30 Companies in Spain with best practices in Occupational Health and Corporate Wellbeing and, recently, recognition by the European Parliament as a ‘European Sport and Healthy Company 2025’.
