In addition, the company’s infrastructure assets will also play a key role in the coming years, supporting greater electrification as well as greater gas penetration in the countries where it operates.
The executive chairman of Naturgy, Francisco Reynés, today chaired his first Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders since he was appointed last February, which took place today in Madrid.
Naturgy is the energy company’s new brand, replacing ‘Gas Natural Fenosa’, and with which it will take on the new challenges defined in the Strategic Plan 2018-2022. This new name will cover the company’s businesses in Spain and internationally. In this manner the new brand of the parent company will be Naturgy Energy Group, S.A.
The Executive Director of NEDGIA, Nuria Rodríguez, together with the CEOs of GREDF (France), Edouard Sauvage, Distrigaz Sud Retele (Romania), Dan Pantilie, Italgas (Italy), Pablo Gallo, and Galp Gás Natural Distribuição (Portugal), Gabriel Sousa, met in Brussels earlier today with the EU Transport Commissioner, Violeta Bulc, to present the advantages of natural gas and renewable gas for the decarbonisation of transport in Europe.
GAS NATURAL FENOSA has unloaded the first shipment of Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Spain under a long-term contract with a capacity for 172,600 cubic metres of gas, which equates to one month’s consumption in Madrid, and will be allocated to supplying south-west Europe.
